I'm turning 40 this month and wanted to do something amazing that will give back to some of those who have helped us during Elsa's journey with a blood cancer called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Camp Sunshine is a non-profit camp for children with life-threatening illnesses AND their families. Camp Sunshine realizes that the entire family is affected by Cancer and other illnesses so it gives the families a time and place to be normal and back together again.
Elsa is just starting to realize that lots of the other kids at camp has/had cancer like her and she no longer feels alone or strange. She's a regular kid like the others. :-)
For us parents, it's a place to network, get answers, and to realize that we're not alone in this fight and that others "get it" without saying anything more.
An amazing place that is a refuge of love and support from a storm of illness and pain. Please help me raise enough money to send one NJ family to camp.
